Busking Information
Uniform
Students will be required to wear their school uniform during their busking session.
Equipment
No amp or mic is provided, however, there is power to the site.
Timings
Please note, only 30 mins per person per day. This includes set up and pack down time
Fee required
If you choose to busk at a school-organised location, a $10 session fee will be payable for slots. Fees will go into the communal fundraising pool which will reduce the overall cost of the tour for all students. Bring a container for your cash donations - your instrument case can work well for this.
Set up and Supervision
All students MUST be supervised by a parent. There are no exceptions to this. Performers - buy your grown-up a coffee while they enjoy your performance to say thanks for their support.
Performance expectations & song choice
Your set list should include at least 5-7 polished pieces which can be repeated (or more if pieces are shorter). Consider your audience - well known songs can sometimes gather more of a crowd (think the Beatles, Disney, Pixar, standards and classics). Please add a few Christmas songs to your set from 12th November. As a representative of Churchands SHS's music program, your performance is expected to be of a high standard, however it isn't a concert - engage with your audience and have fun. This is what you have trained for in Concert Practice, make your teachers (and yourself) proud!
