Does going on tour in year 12 interrupt preparation for the ATAR?

Minimal disruption occurs. Students miss about one week of classes, primarily during the Term 2 break. Teachers avoid scheduling assessments or new work during this time. Tour rehearsals are typically held during regular practice sessions.

Can my child go out with relatives, or return to Australia at a different time to the main group?

Requests for alternate travel must be approved by the Director of Music. Students may stay behind or visit relatives if it does not disrupt the tour or performance commitments. Conditions are outlined in the Music Tour Individual Return Travel Application.

Is this tour dangerous?

Student safety is the highest priority. The school monitors global events and adjusts plans if needed. Tours have continued safely through previous challenges, with contingencies in place. Participation is voluntary.
