The estimated cost of the tour is around $10k before fundraising.

Families who opt out pay the full amount and receive any relevant refund once the tour has returned. Fundraising can potentially reduce the cost by up to half. Opting out means you are not expected to participate in any fundraising activities; however, part of your payment will still contribute to shared group costs.

Fundraising has two components: group and individual. Usually raffle ticket profits go directly towards your individual tour cost, and you remain eligible to win the prize. In the past, some families have purchased all their own tickets and covered a large portion of the tour cost through the prize.
